Bombshell by Mike Faricy

buy this book

Dysfunctional, bumbling, crazy babe-magnet Dev Haskell, P.I., becomes the envy of every guy with a heartbeat when he’s hired to watch over a team of gorgeous English roller derby stars. Though he’d rather be standing guard in the shower room, he suddenly finds himself under arrest and found guilty before he’s even charged.     He’s got an attorney who drinks too much, a beautiful woman with a bad attitude, a feisty team of females ready to kill him – and no answers. Bombshell is another fast paced, engrossing suspense thriller from Minnesota‘s master of the bizarre.      CUSTOMER REVIEWSBy NatureRabbi Another hit for Mike Faricy.

Roller Derby?! Really? What fun. Reading Faricy’s Dev Haskell series is always a romp – and always brings me a smile if not a belly laugh. Dev is such a nebish (if he were Jewish) — bumbling along in life, getting into and somehow out of, the weirdest experiences. Just picture our tattered hero, Dev, surrounded by Roller Derby babes, with names like Harlotte Davidson or Helen Killer. As he investigates a stalker, turned killer, our Dev gets hauled in to the police station so many times it’s a wonder he doesn’t have his own desk. How he manages to solve crimes is as amazing to him as it is for the reader. Faricy’s characters are great. No superheroes for him. All sort of gently broken – few you would proudly take home to mother. I enjoy reading Faricy when I am looking for guaranteed entertainment and a fun mystery. I look forward to his next book. Always a good time.
